On May 2, 2010 me and my husband with our two kids were driving to Yuba City, Ca to meet with a friend the next morning that we had not seen in a long time. Well when we get to Yuba City it was around 12:30 am I believe. What we did not realized that that weekend there was going to be a celebration for the 5 de Mayo and a lot of people were coming. So when we get there we stop by Holiday Inn to ask if we could get a quote for 1 room and they said sorry we are booked, so we were not surprise since we thought its next by highway 99 and its a nice place to stay. But its turns out all places were we went got book we even drove outside of Yuba heading north hoping they would have room, but no. They told us that the cinco de mayo was going to be going on tomorrow so that thats why everything was book and got directions to A town called Marysville. We got lost and of course we couldn't stay in the car because of our two little ones and how cold it gets a night. So I don't know how but after a hour and a half later we ended up in marysville and of course what do you expect we were so tired. Just hoping to find something. Well we had never been in Marysville. We were going 25 in a 35 mph zone. Looking for somewhere to sleep my husband and I did not realize a red light. When he realized it, he tried to break, but it was too soon to break so right when he tries it turns green so there is no point for him to stop completely now. So of course got caught by one of those cameras. I have a video that shows what happened. So my question is, is there any way my husband could talk to the judge and let him know what had happened before pleaing something? I know there is no excuse, but come on we were lost tired and no where to stay with our little ones in a place we had never been to. This is his first ticket so what could he do?
