Resolved Question: What's the difference between "floor" and "pit" tickets to a concert?

I'm trying to give my boyfriend a great gift for his 18th birthday. He is a devout Dave Matthews Band fan and I'd do anything to get my hands on a pair of tickets for his August 27th show in Marysville, CA. As I'm searching for the right price and whatnot, I see two different names, "pit" and "floor". What's the difference? And also, does anyone know where I can get the cheapest tickets possible?...
